Exclusive venue with everything you need for the perfect wedding or event
Winters Tale Country Barn includes everything you need to make your country wedding or private event absolutely perfect. With a seated capacity of 120 and overall total capacity of 200, along with adjoining marquee, festoon lit courtyard and a third of an acre of gardens, you’ll have plenty of room to celebrate. With all the extra touches including mood lighting, twinkling fairly lights and a state-of-the-art sound system already in place – all you need to do is bring the party!
Facilities & Accommodation
- Exclusive use of the venue and grounds from 9.30am on the day of your wedding through to 11am the following day. Access the prior afternoon from 1pm -5pm for pre -wedding set up
- Harvest Moon Barn & Ember Eve Barn included for the night of your wedding. Also available to hire the night before for an additional charge
- Capacity to seat up to 120 in the Main Barn - on 5ft round guest tables plus a long/round Top Table with limewash Chiavari chairs
- Large semi-permanent marquee adjoining the barn set in a third of an acre garden ideal for garden games
- Fully stocked bar with card/contactless payments/cash facilities with experienced friendly bar staff
- All glassware included for the bar and drinks packages
- Rose gold themed Cocktail Bar on the gallery with dedicated cocktail mixologist (opens as part of the evening entertainment)
- Comfortable cosy ‘Chill Out’ area adjacent to the cocktail bar - with low level seating and ambient lighting
- Our Secret Garden for some quiet couple time & romantic portrait shots
- Spacious Car Park for approx. 40 vehicles (plus overflow car park available in the drier months)

Additional fee for a Civil Ceremony or Celebrant Ceremony:
£300 – Tues, Weds, Thurs, £500 for an outside ceremony
£400 – Fri, Sat, Sun, £600 for an outside ceremony
Bank holidays, Christmas period and Easter Weekend are charged at the High Season Saturday rate

FAQ's
We are licensed with Buckinghamshire Registration Service so in order to book your Civil Ceremony, you are best to give them a call on 01494 475092 in order to check their availability and confirm a time slot with them.
Our round tables are 5ft in diameter and can seat 8 guests comfortably, with an absolute maximum of 10 guests. We can seat up to 120 guests comfortably for the Wedding Breakfast.
Last orders at the Bar are called at 11.20pm, the Bar closes at 11.30pm and Carriages are at midnight.
We request that all drinks are purchased through our Bar. We have an expansive range of drinks and they are all competitively priced. We also have a fabulous cocktail bar on our Mezzanine Floor, which opens in the evening time with a dedicated Mixologist – the cocktail bar is always extremely popular!
Yes of course outside, usually in the courtyard -it makes for some amazing photos! It must be either real or dried flower petals, which are biodegradable and easily blend into the natural environment
If you have booked Harvest Moon Barn (2 bedroom cottage) and Ember Eve (1 bedroom cottage) for the night prior to your wedding they will be available for you to check into from 3pm that day.
Check out is 11am approx and once you’ve checked out you can then wander over to the Main Barn and collect any decorative items to take back with you.
